Final Portfolio: Audience Feedback

Once we had a rough cut of our music video, we knew it was crucial to get some fresh eyes on it. We decided to share the version with a group of trusted friends to gauge their initial reactions and see what they took away from the visuals.

We were really pleased to hear that most of our friends were able to follow the storyline we were trying to convey. They picked up on the key plot points and understood the narrative flow, which was a huge relief and confirmed that our visual storytelling was effectively communicating the intended message.

Interestingly, the ending sparked some discussion, which was exactly what we had hoped for. The final shot, showing the protagonist in the garden reminiscing about happier times before the heartbreak, was intentionally left open to interpretation. Some friends saw it as a moment of reflection and healing, while others felt a lingering sense of sadness. This variety of interpretations was encouraging, as it suggested the ending was resonating with viewers on an emotional level and prompting them to engage with the narrative beyond a simple resolution. It made us realize that leaving some ambiguity can be a powerful way to connect with an audience and encourage them to bring their own experiences to the story
