Final Portfolio: Editing the final MV
The editing process started by all of us airdropping all the music video shots on our phone to Muhjahs iPhone as she was incharge of the filming whereas the rest of the pictures/videos were shared through whatsapp on HD mode. The editing part seemed to be the toughest as there was loads of footage to choose from. There was a lot of footage that Muhjah had to chop down into almost 4 minutes.
She firstly got rid of the clips that were completely unusable. Then she cropped out the best clips from the videos and got rid of the rest. With the library of usable footage, she just started narrowing down the confirmed footage and made a separate album of it on her laptop. The intro of the music video included a fast paced intro to keep the audience hooked and thus the intro had fast paced editing and shots were in sync with the music.
Next for the burning picture in the beginning Muhjah used an animation affect to enhance the visuals and not take away from the original aesthetic and make the scene more impactful.
Initially, muhjah tried editing on Filmora, Capcut and iMovie, however she was the most comfortable with using iMovie, thus she followed through with that app.
